EMDR by reason

EMDR and migration

People describe living between two places: missing family and friends, feeling like an outsider in the new country, getting tired of explaining everything in another language. Sometimes the move itself came from something hard: a crisis, a threat, a loss.

In EMDR the work covers the heaviest moments of the move, such as the goodbye, a hard arrival, or losses you couldn't be there for, and the resources for the new life.

Many people have their sessions online, with a therapist from the country they left. You can search by language and choose which one to speak in.

If you are in danger now, call your country's emergency number. Urgent help lists the numbers by country.
